Born in Salt Lake City, formed by thirty years in Los Angeles, and permanently marked by years painting in the South of France — Melanie Ferguson brings a layered life to every canvas she touches.
Her abstract work begins with instinct: texture, color, and raw shape. Then comes the editing, the refining, the listening. A painting isn't finished until it tells her so.
Now back in Utah, she paints the memory of Provence light, the energy of the California coast, and the grounding grandeur of the American West — all at once.
